He says “proud to call him my friend.“
President Joe Biden spoke with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after he announced his resignation. The president commended the Canadian Liberal Party leader’s work and offered his support. President Biden said he was “proud to call him my friend,” offering “appreciation for his partnership over the years.”
President Biden stated, “We have made generational investments to strengthen our supply chains and rebuild our economies from the bottom up and middle out—establishing North America as the most economically competitive region in the world.”
Prime Minister Trudeau’s resignation comes as his party is losing support among Canadian voters. The country is bracing for the policies of the incoming administration of President Trump, who has threatened to impose a 25 percent tariff on Canadian goods if America’s northern neighbor does not boost its border security.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For discernment for President Biden as he responds to world leaders and events in the remainder of his administration.
- For President Trump to receive God’s wisdom as he addresses issues and prepares for his second term.
